Did you know that there is a way to keep your natural teeth for a lifetime? Well, it’s true! Along with keeping up with oral hygiene and visiting your dentist, there are other things you can do to keep a strong and healthy smile. One of those things is having a healthy and balanced diet. If you do the following things, your chompers will remain successful:

· Eat the right foods: Do your best to eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, and lean proteins. Please try to limit eating processed foods.
· Consume the right beverages: Drinks that contain high amounts of sugar can lead to tooth decay and obesity, so it’s best to avoid drinking these drinks altogether. We also ask that you limit your alcohol intake because it can irritate the mouth and increase your risk of developing oral cancer.
· Get enough calcium: Calcium is a beneficial mineral that can prevent bone loss and osteoporosis. It’s best to consume about 3 cups of calcium a day by drinking low-fat dairy milk and eating cheese and yogurt. You can also eat broccoli, spinach, kale, and Swiss chard.
