Connie Simpson — Registered Dental Hygienist
I was born in Fairmont, West Virginia and attended college at West Virginia University. I have worked for Simpson Dental Associates since 1984. I am a registered dental hygienist and now, bookkeeper. I enjoy seeing patients being transformed in our office. It gives me great joy to see beautiful, smiling faces and realize that I had a part in making that happen for them. I enjoy playing tennis, boating, and I am a board member for the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association.
Kay Utterback — Registered Dental Hygienist
I was born in Fairmont, West Virginia. My family moved to Ripley when I was one and I graduated from Ripley High School in 1977. I moved to Harrisville, West Virginia for two years then back to Ripley. I started working in the dental field in a lab in Ripley. I then moved to St. Albans where I worked in a dental office while I went to dental hygiene school at West Virginia Institute of Technology.
I started working at Simpson Dental Associates in May of 2005 as a Dental Hygienist. I enjoy helping patients take good care of their teeth. Not just for their oral health but for their overall health as well. I am proud to be part of a team utilizing the most sophisticated technology for treating periodontal disease. The results are awesome. It is a pleasure to work for Dr. Mark and Christen Simpson. It is a joy to know that every patient is receiving the best dental care available in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
Judy Maynor — Dental Lab Manager
I grew up in Amma, Roane County. I went to school in Spencer, West Virginia. I started working for Simpson Dental Associates in January, 1986. I am the head lab technician. My job has been so rewarding over the years getting to work with patients building them beautiful smiles. I love the feeling I get when I help someone feel better about their smile. Unlike commercial labs our in-house lab allows us to work one on one with doctor and patient to achieve a perfect case in a timely manner.
Tracey Prouse — Dental Lab Technician
I was born in Charleston, West Virginia and raised in Philippi. After graduating High School I moved back to the Charleston area and have lived in Nitro since 1993. I worked as a florist for many years before deciding to go back to school. After finishing dental laboratory technician courses I worked at a small lab until I was hired at Simpson Dental Associates in 1997. I construct dentures, orthodontic appliances, and have expanded into crown and bridge work as well. Our dental team here at Simpson Dental has become my second family and I have enjoyed every minute.
Jessica Elswick — Dental Lab Technician
I was born in Pontiac, Michigan. I moved to Charleston at an early age where I spent most of my childhood. I am married with two children and we have lived in the Clendenin and Pinch areas. I started working for Simpson Dental Associates on my birthday March 9, 2001. I am the implant coordinator, Cerec operator, and work up all the lab cases. I have a very rewarding job that I love. We are continually learning and have a great team which makes it a great atmosphere to work.
Tammy Beasley — Certified Dental Assistant & Patient Care Coordinator
I was born and raised in Charleston. I have worked for the Simpson's since 1975. I started as Dr. Robert Simpson's assistant while I was in high school. I am now Dr. Mark's assistant and front desk coordinator. I really enjoy helping people and creating beautiful smiles.
Tammie Warner — Head Dental Assistant
I was born and raised in Charleston until the age of thirteen, I then moved to the St. Albans area. I have been a dental assistant here at Simpson Dental Associates since 2004. I love my job. We change people's lives everyday and it is awesome to be part of it.
Amy Murray — Dental Assistant
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Lee. We currently reside in Jackson County, West Virginia with our children, Derek and Hannah and our miniature pincher, Macy. I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading and attending sporting events.
I have had the pleasure of working in dentistry since 1992 with Dr. Mark Simpson and his daughter Dr. Christen Simpson since 2006. I look forward to many more years of helping provide beautiful smiles to the people of West Virginia and the mid-Ohio Valley.
Elizabeth Boothe — Dental Assistant
I was born in Massillon, Ohio and moved to Ravenswood when I was one where I grew up and live now. My husband Tom and I graduated from Ravenswood High School in 1975 and we have been married since 1977. We have three sons; Thomas, Christopher and Brandon, and one daughter-in-law Peggy and a two year old granddaughter Isabella.
I have worked at Family and Cosmetic dentistry since 1995. I love working in the dental field becuase of the opportunity I have to help people. I love the people that I work with because we have lots of fun and work well together. I look forward to many more years here. Everyday is a great new experience!
Desiree Cruikshank — Dental Assistant and Receptionist
I was born and raised in Charleston and Elkview, West Virginia. My husband Dave and I have one son, Hunter. I graduated from Carver Career Center and started working at Simpson Dental Associates in June, 2006. I love the patient interaction and being able to help patients by providing them with quality dentistry using state of the art technology. Along with being a dental assistant and receptionist, I am in charge of all of the technology at our office.
We take pride in being able to offer you a wide variety of technology for patient comfort and satisfaction including: digital charts and films, CO2 soft tissue laser, intraoral pictures, Cerec machine with 3D Cad/Cam Imaging, and Cone Beam CT Scanner are just some of the ways we can provide the highest quality of dentistry. I look forward to each day of helping patients and learning about all the advances and ways to provide the best care available for our patients.
Corie McDaniel— Receptionist
I currently live in Ravenswood, West Virginia with my husband Anthony and three cats. I grew up in the upper Ohio Valley, around Shadyside Ohio, moved to Akron for a few years after college, and then because of my husband's job, we moved to West Virginia in October 2009. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work, and an Associate's Degree in Accounting, but I enjoy being a Receptionist a lot more. For fun I like to cook, bake, decorate cakes, go four-wheeling, and scrapbook. I've worked at Family and Cosmetic Dentistry since May 2010 and hope to be here for years to come.
Amy Zickefoose-- Dental Assistant
I grew up in Charleston and currently live on the west side of Charleston with my son, Jayden. I have been in the dental field since 2004. I enjoy being able to work with patients to improve their oral health. I have been with Simpson Dental Associates since October, 2010 and I am happy to be a part of such a dynamic team that provides such state of the art, quality dental care.
